The existing building had little maintenance, and was in need of extensive refurbishment to meet health and safety standards. The brief was to incorporate disabled access and facilities, to integrate modern technology and the creation of the front to both draw in and pour light into the community. 

​

A purpose built design to fulfil The Well’s needs: with soundproof prayer rooms for privacy, a large meeting room, a central hall ideal for larger events, a refreshment area, of office space and easy access and facilities for those with limited mobility and it will provide a valuable community resource creating a safe and peaceful place of refuge – a place where people can sense God’s great healing love for them from the minute they step inside.

The proposals incorporated the following:

Offices: The office is the hub of The Well: a place where communication happens and the vital backbone for our clients ministry. The desire was always to bring ministry and admin together in one place. This means that they have more time to serve Guests.

Prayer Rooms: Soundproofed to give our Healing Prayer guests total privacy during prayer.

​

Meeting Room: Equipped with sound and projection systems, this makes an ideal venue for meetings and training days; it can also be rented out to community groups.

​

Main Hall: This large and airy space in the heart of the building is ideal for larger gatherings such as Soaking Prayer sessions, talks and training.  At other times, the main hall can be rented out to community groups and it is fitted with sound and projection equipment.

Reception area: Visitors step off the the street into a light and welcoming foyer.
